Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Q3 Level)

Pay Rate
: $30.03/hr

Sign On Bonus
: $1000 after 30 days; $500 after 6 months; $500 after 1 year

Retention Bonus
: $500 after 1 year;
Additional lump sum after 2 years

: 2nd & 3rd shifts available; OT/weekends as needed

• Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and installing plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for all plant equipment, including machinery maintenance, lubrication, PMs, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, welding, fabricating, and possible installations.
• Perform lubrication and preventative maintenance on equipment such as corrugator, diecut/flexo folder, conveyors, stackers, banders, etc.
• Read and understand mechanical prints, AC/DC motors, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Troubleshoot, repair and install mechanical components, AC/DC motors, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, bearings, and power transmission.
• Fabricate equipment (arc and gas welding) to meet requirements.
• Make adjustments on equipment to improve productivity.
• Identify and locate unusual sounds that indicate potential trouble.
• Dismantle equipment to gain access to replace defective parts.
• Engage in predictive maintenance data collection and PM planning.
• Minimum requirements include passing the Maintenance AON test and an interview. Ability to work in a team environment and work additional/flexible hours including weekends; willingness to work all shifts depending on business needs. Must have your own set of tools.
• Safety sensitive position.

• Working knowledge of measurement equipment (dial calipers, heat sensing guns, etc.).
• Ability to examine wear on parts and repair or replace as needed.
• Ability to use hand tools safely to remove/replace and repair parts.
• Operate common hand tools found in a maintenance shop (e.g., drill press, grinder, wire brush, acetylene torch).
• Excellent attendance and safety record; ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work in a team environment and accommodate flexible hours including weekends.
• Willingness and ability to work all shifts as needed.
• Strong teamwork, cooperation, problem solving, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to safety, positive attitude, and safe working practices.
• Computer skills to use SAP for notifications, work orders, parts requisition, and time entry against work orders.
• Will attend meetings, complete required training, and promote a safe working environment.
• Successful candidate must pass standardized International Paper pre-employment testing for Maintenance positions.
