Job TitleRegistered Respiratory Therapist
Position SummaryThe Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers a full range of complex respiratory care modalities in the general and all acute care units. Independent clinical judgments, evaluation, and collaboration are required to support an organizational culture of Service Excellence.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement an age‑appropriate plan of care using assessment and clinical skills.

- A current Registered Respiratory Therapist license by the Texas Medical Board.
- Graduate of a 2‑year approved AMA School of Respiratory Care or non‑traditional degree program.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC at date of hire.
- 2–3 years clinical experience preferred.
- Must have current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
- Ability to read, write, and converse in English.
- Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under stress.
- Ability to respond to pages, telephones, and other auditory stimulation.
- Ability to function when exposed to hazardous chemicals and/or biological materials.
- Bending, lifting (10–30 lbs. minimum), grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing and pulling.
- Prolonged standing and/or sitting.
- Ability to discriminate color.
- Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard/metric measurements).
- Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.
