Position DescriptionProvides advance technical, logistical, training, and fiscal support to Pharmacist.
Major/Essential Functions- Receives, interprets, enters into computer and prepares prescription orders for checking by the pharmacists.
- Maintains drug and supply inventory for the pharmacy.
- Maintains controlled substance inventory records.
- Supports pharmacy quality assurance program.
- Triage department information inquiries (answering telephones)
- Maintains confidential records and files.
- Performs other duties of a certified technician.
Performs duties that may be assigned by the pharmacist.
Required QualificationsEducation:
A minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent. License/Certification:
Required by the State of Texas to have passed the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam.
Experience:
At least three years experience as a pharmacy technician.
