Responsibilities are listed below.

Responsibilities
  • Performs clerical and clinical duties under the direction of a physician and or registered nurse.
  • Clerical duties may include scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and maintaining medical records.
  • Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patient for examination and administering medications as directed by physician.
Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent);
    Current or must be attained within three (3) months of hire.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous job.
  • Competent use of personal computers and software programs including Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Previous experience with EMR systems.
  • One year experience in physician’s practice setting.
