Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of inpatient acute care experience for a Level 3 trauma hospital.

• Position is in an acute care hospital PT unit serving a 450-bed facility
• Work schedule is 5x8 hour day shifts, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Patient population includes ortho, neuro, oncology, post-op back and neck, med surg, and ICU (medical, cardiac, surgical) cases
• Therapy services are provided across 7 floors with a daily census of approximately 360 patients
• Team includes 8-10 PTs and 6-8 PTAs daily, and works alongside OT, ST, and case management
• Uses Epic charting system;
  Epic experience is preferred
• Position does not accept travel pairs or groups
• First-time travelers will be considered
• A maximum of 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved; no time off is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Team-oriented environment with daily collaboration across therapy disciplines

• Current TX PT license required; pending license will be considered
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient acute care physical therapy experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Locals within a 50-mile radius are not accepted
