ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing the nutritional status of the inpatient and outpatient population of NWTHS; developing a nutritional plan of care and implementing Medical Nutrition Therapy alongside an interdisciplinary team. The Dietitian will assist with training and performance improvement as needed, and provide educational outreach to the community periodically.

- Bachelor’s Degree Required.
- Registered Dietitian/Licensed Dietitian registered in the state of Texas; or RD eligible.
- BLS from the American Heart Association upon hire, or within 90 days of hire date.
- One‑year experience as a dietitian in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills required.
- Typing and basic computer skills desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Must successfully complete the pre‑employment assessment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to remain calm under stress.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, twist, lift 10–30 lbs, grasp, fine hand/eye coordination, push, pull, prolonged standing or sitting.
- Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard/metric measurement).
- Exposure to cold in refrigerator/freezer, fumes from chemicals, cooking odors, gases, and odors from patient rooms.
- Potential hazards from cuts, burns.
