A company is looking for an Underwriter I to evaluate and analyze loan applications for mortgage and home equity loans.
Key Responsibilities Underwrite portfolio loans, agency loans, and home equity loans while ensuring compliance with guidelines Review loan documents for accuracy and analyze various transactions while maintaining quality standards Collaborate with loan processors and officers to finalize loan packages and address any additional documentation needs
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; 5 years of experience or an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience Knowledge of real estate lending practices and federal/state regulations Strong PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Thorough understanding of RESPA, Regulation Z, and secondary market guidelines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
