Overview

We’re looking for a high-performing Investor Relations (IR) Senior Business Analyst to join our team and support a growing IR function within a high-growth, billion-dollar energy company in its first year as a publicly traded firm. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is analytically strong, detail-oriented, and eager to learn how public company investor communications and capital markets work from the inside.

You will partner closely with the IR team, finance leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to help build and maintain investor materials, track market and investor sentiment, support quarterly earnings processes, and provide data-driven insights that strengthen the company’s external narrative. This role is for someone who enjoys working in fast-moving environments, can produce high-quality work under tight timelines, and wants hands-on exposure to investors, analysts, earnings cycles, and the broader capital markets ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Investor Materials & Reporting Support
    • Support the creation, updating, and quality control of investor presentations, earnings decks, fact sheets, quarterly updates, and other external-facing materials.
    • Help ensure IR materials are accurate, consistent, and aligned with public company expectations and approved messaging.
    • Maintain supporting data tables, KPIs, charts, and appendices used across IR deliverables.
    • Assist with internal briefing materials and executive prep for investor meetings and conferences.
  • Earnings & Public Company Process Support
    • Support quarterly earnings preparation, including tracking timelines, coordinating inputs, assembling materials, and managing review workflows.
    • Help compile and organize earnings Q&A preparation materials, FAQs, and investor talking points.
    • Partner with finance, accounting, legal, and communications teams to ensure disclosure support is timely and accurate.
  • Investor and Market Intelligence
    • Track investor sentiment, meeting feedback, and engagement outcomes in a structured and accessible format.
    • Monitor sell-side analyst reports, consensus expectations, and changes in positioning across the coverage universe.
    • Maintain a peer benchmarking and competitive positioning toolkit, including valuation comps, KPIs, and market data.
    • Support research on energy sector developments, regulatory updates, and capital markets trends relevant to Fermi and its investor base.
  • Financial Analysis & Modeling
    • Assist in financial analysis related to performance drivers, KPIs, valuation metrics, and investor questions.
    • Support the preparation of select internal models and analytics used for investor messaging and market comparisons.
    • Help produce clean, investor-ready visualizations, summary tables, and data narratives that translate financial and operational complexity into clarity.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • 2-5 years of experience in a business analyst, finance, strategy, consulting, capital markets, investment research, or related role.
    • Strong analytical skills and high comfort working with financial statements, KPIs, and valuation concepts.
    • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, with strong attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy.
    • Strong writing and communication skills - able to synthesize information and present it clearly.
    • Ability to manage multiple work streams, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • High degree of maturity, judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Preferred
  • Exposure to investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or institutional investing.
  • Experience supporting earnings preparation, public company reporting, or capital markets-facing materials.
  • Familiarity with the energy, infrastructure, or industrials sector.
  • MBA, CFA, and/or CPA.
