We are looking for a Technical Training Lead in 1421 Dixie St, Amarillo, TX USA. Your mission will be to:
Position Summary
Mérieux Nutri Sciences is dedicated to improving food safety and quality through nutritional research, scientific excellence and innovation at every step of the food supply chain. The Technical Training Lead (TTL) is responsible for collaboratively implementing and executing the technical training program locally at the laboratory level, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the program. The TTL supports and creates a learning environment for Merieux employees to achieve the highest level of excellence, accountability, integrity, and initiative in their work.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities for this position could include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Training Needs Analysis:
Collaborate with laboratory management to identify local technical training needs and train the trainer needs. - Training Delivery and Facilitation:
Facilitate training programs with a blended approach for all learning styles; manage successful delivery of projects and initiatives using internal and external resources; streamline and improve local learning experiences; facilitate orientation with New Hires in cooperation with Orientation Coordinator and Supervisor; schedule and facilitate annual training requirements with lab management; coordinate training activities for all departments including annual reverifications; oversee training plans/schedules;
provide training portions of step rate; partner with management on training needs; oversee documentation of training; conduct method or other functional training instruction, guidance or competency approval as determined by LD/GM, TTL and TTM; conduct non-specialized training and sign-offs; cover universal skills such as how to use a balance; introduce systems such as LIMS and Zeta; conduct training documentation and technique audits;
assist with CCNCs related to training. - Learning Administration:
Create and maintain learning events, activities, and evaluations for technical training; provide training for and approve local technical trainers; maintain local training documentation and schedules; work closely with new employees during onboarding in cooperation with the new employee’s Supervisor and Buddy; provide Buddies with support. - Reporting and Evaluation:
Utilize reporting and evaluation methods to determine effectiveness and impact of the training program at a local level; provide input and feedback on the program from the local level to Technical Training leadership. - Perform other related tasks as needed.
Communication
- This position uses tact in providing feedback and communicating training initiatives and objectives to laboratory leaders and trainers. They will work with them to train, engage and empower their employees while minimizing conflicts with operational processes; TTL will align training with operational priorities to maintain lean processes and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration with the network of TTLs through regular meetings and with technical and quality groups to continuously evaluate and improve the training program. Ideally, TTL should meet with the local management team at least once per month.
Success Factors / Job Competencies
- Analytical skills are helpful to complete analysis procedures.
- Physical dexterity with pipetting is required to transfer samples into plates and tubes.
