PRIMARY

PURPOSE:

To troubleshoot the Student Management System for staff and students, ensuring the appropriate security settings are in place. This role is crucial for maintaining the system's smooth and secure operation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum

    Education/Certification:

    High school Diploma or GED
  • Special Knowledge/

    Skills:

    Computer skills are mandatory
  • Student Management System, preferably Skyward
  • TSDS Reporting requirements
  • School funding rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of the PEIMS process
  • Strong communication, public relations, organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with school personnel
  • Excellent organizational skills and initiative with multi-task orientation
  • Good work ethic
  • Self-motivated with high productivity.
  • Professional experience
  • Minimum Experience:

    Experience with Skyward Student Management, TSDS Reporting Knowledge
Work

Conditions:

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals

Posture: Regular sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular overhead reaching

Lifting: Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent district-wide travel; frequent interruptions;
Must maintain professional demeanor under stress;
Must have problem solving skills.

Regular attendance is an essential function.

MAJOR

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Manage in district and out of district student transfers
  • Provide support to campuses for a number of reports, including failure, missing grades, attendance, eligibility
  • Manage staff security for student management system
  • Registration process to ensure student is enrolled in correct campus (No-shows/new enrollments)
  • Enrollment Reconciliations
  • Oversee Six Week Attendance Audits
  • Create templates within student management system for district use
  • Provide support to campuses for attendance reports regulations and reporting
  • Help Troubleshoot master schedule issues
  • Help provide trainings to end users
  • Maintain address data table in student management system
  • Audit of student information to stay in compliance for state funding
  • Troubleshoot system requirements for all campuses including student and staff information
  • Perform staff information audits to ensure accurate data
  • Enrollment for online summer school
  • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers including the Texas Educator Code of Ethics
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
