GTC-Amarillo-Taylor 2 Flr, 701 S Taylor St, 2nd Floor, Amarillo, TX 79101, USA

The GTC Transactional Specialist is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all document processing for distribution transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Receives and maintains transactional documents for processing of any outgoing funds via withdrawal or transfer request. (Daily)
  • Completes annual required minimum distribution (RMD) process for IRAs including notification to account holders, election of payments, letters of explanation and establishing transfers for monthly, quarterly or semiannual payments. (As needed)
  • Reviews and prepares distributions such as Recharacterizations, Conversions, Secondaries, etc. (As needed)
  • Follows up with customers on outstanding documentation required for completion of files. (As needed)
  • Ensures quality control of all documents prior to sending to appropriate department for additional processing. (Daily)
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. (Daily)
  • Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. (Quarterly)
  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience
  • High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area (e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc.), plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication Skills

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; write simple correspondence. Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.

Critical Thinking Skills

Ability to use common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few known variables in routine situations.

Software Skills
  • Basic: 10‑Key, Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
Additional Information
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Internet, e‑mail, and a working knowledge of accounting software.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to multi‑task and be detail oriented.
  • Must have the ability to interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have working knowledge of accounting principles to include G/L processing.
