Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Senior Accountant to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting our financial operations, with a focus on payroll, payroll tax reporting, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, skilled in accounting practices, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Process and manage payroll on a regular schedule
• Prepare and file payroll tax reports in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Prepare and file sales tax returns accurately and on time
• Assist with general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing tasks
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Must have agriculture experience whether in commodities, cattle/livestock, nutrition, grain, agronomy, etc.
• Solid understanding of payroll processes and payroll tax regulations
• Familiarity with sales tax laws and reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

• Competitive compensation: $85,000-$105,000 DOE
