$10.00 to $14.00 per hour
Our commission structure pays you for every transaction you process. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.80 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. They greet, engage, and interact with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, handling a wide variety of merchandise including tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items per established policies.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes the assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting).
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Employees may be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants receive more details during the interview process.
