Licensed Specialist in School Psychology; Intern

Primary Purpose

• Provide psychological services in assessment, behavior intervention, and counseling for students with emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and behavioral problems;
• Assess the psychological and psycho-educational needs of students referred to special education services;
• Facilitate the ARD process in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
• Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in School Psychology from an accredited college or university

• Knowledge of procedures for assessing achievement and intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning for educational purposes
• Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including positive behavior supports
• Knowledge of psycho-social development
• Consultation skills for conferencing with campus administrators, teachers, parents, and students
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Enrollment in a NASP-approved program at an accredited college or university is preferred.

Salary: Instructional Support PG4/198 days
