Position: SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties Duty 1:
Manages the Reports and Analysis Program. Interprets, analyzes and complies with DoD and Air Force security policies, instructions, supplements and procedures. Duty 2:
Implements and administers the Criminal Indexing Program for the unit. Duty 3:
Maintains controlled items. Maintains control logs, files, accountability for tickets, and accident/incident reports that may be classified. Duty 4:
Liaisons with installation entities in support of law enforcement mission. Duty 5:
Provides assistance for technical investigative support tasks. Serves as a subject matter expert on Livescan Management System (LSMS). Requirements Conditions of employment

* Noncritical Sensitive:
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate secret security clearance
* The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
* Department of Defense Physical Security Certification (PSC) conferral is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes applying knowledge of standardized security methods, rules, regulations, and principles to provide support to security specialists in security administration; and perform nonstandard security assignments and resolve recurring problems. Knowledge of security procedures pertaining to handling and disposing of classified material, such as classification markings, accountability and control, declassification, and destruction procedures.

Knowledge of security forces reporting functions sufficient to maintain an accurate database of incident reports, accidents, and traffic tickets. Knowledge of one or more automated databases associated with a specific security function to support office and security operations and produce a variety of documents and reports. OR

EDUCATION:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

NOTE:
