Clinic Medical Director

Valor Healthcare is looking for a passionate Clinical Medical Director (CMD) to join our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Altus, OK. • Actively participate and oversee the diagnoses and treatment of our veterans.
• Manage day-to-day medical operations, ensure high quality clinical expectations, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Achieve and maintain excellent clinical outcomes through periodic chart reviews, direct observation, and adherence to VA guidelines.
• Ensure colleagues provide excellent customer service to veterans, as well as to colleagues and clinic visitors.
• Participate in managing the clinic’s financial performance.
• Participate in the clinic’s outreach events to support enrollment initiatives.
• Support patient enrollment and retention by providing scheduling guidance, follow-up visits, or nurse visits.
• Maintain staffing levels consistent with veteran enrollment and contract terms to maintain clinical outcomes.
• Review and analyze reporting and responsiveness to alerts and notifications.
• Ensure clinic metrics meet or exceed VA thresholds.
• Emphasize recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and retaining talent through communication, training, key competencies, and performance management.
• Develop and maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with VA partners and keep the Regional Medical Director informed of significant issues.
• Innovate and support new clinical or operational initiatives that drive Valor's success.

• 4+ years of clinical medical practice with healthcare management experience preferred; government healthcare environment preferred; specific requirements may vary based on VA contract.
• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree
• Board-certified in family practice or internal medicine
• Must be credentialed and in good standing with the Veterans Health Administration (VA)
• Current, unrestricted license in the state of employment or in any U.S. state or territory as required by VA contract
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; renewal as specified by certifying agency
• Current, unrestricted DEA registration
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to manage up and down
• Energetic and optimistic demeanor
• Strong service orientation with focus on meeting service standards
• Ability to resolve colleague, client, and patient issues effectively and timely

Final compensation will be based on relevant factors including work experience, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
