Duties Summary Continued Provide a wide range of work/life services to units and leaders on individual, family and community issues toward developing resilient, ready Airmen/Guardians. These services include, but are not limited to, deployment support, crisis and disaster response support, career, transition, relocation, financial assistance, personal and work life education, exceptional family member support, emergency response/assistance, long term survivor support, and voting assistance activities provided to military members, retirees, Department of Defense (DoD) civilian members, and their families.
DUTIES
* Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Military and Family Readiness Flight
* Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
* Represents the Force Support Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations
* Establishes, defines, and implements requirements for Military and Family Readiness programs to ensure operations are in line with regulatory and fiscal requirements, support goals, and mission requirements Requirements Conditions of employment

* This IS a supervisory and 1-year probationary period is required

* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
* Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and may be subject to recall
* The work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
* This position is open to current Air Education Training Command Employees Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions, 101 Series. BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes providing management oversight for activities assigned to the Force Support Squadron and involved in organizing, coordinating, directing, and overseeing the Airman and Family Readiness Program. The position serves as principal advisor on work/life matters and as the policy advisor in the development and implementation of work/life services and activities.
