This is a rare opportunity to step away from fee earning and into a senior operational role at the cutting edge of residential conveyancing. You’ll be brought in to build and lead a conveyancing operations function in Altrincham, working alongside senior leadership, with full development expected within the next 6–12 months. There’s no business development, no following required, and no expectation to fee earn.
Instead, this role is about leadership, process, people, and scale - creating a system-led conveyancing team that delivers volume efficiently while maintaining quality and client experience.
Who we’re looking for
- Residential Conveyancer or Legal Operations professional with around 5+ years’ experience
- Strong understanding of residential conveyancing workflows from instruction through to post-completion
- Someone ready to move away from fee-earning into operational leadership
- Experience building, stabilising or improving high-volume conveyancing processes
- Confident managing and developing people, not just files
- Calm under pressure, collaborative, and values-led
What you’ll be doing
- Taking ownership of the conveyancing operations function
- Designing workflows, escalation routes, reporting and quality controls
- Recruiting, onboarding and leading solicitors and paralegals as the team grows
- Implementing dashboards and KPIs around cycle time, updates and post-completion accuracy
- Working closely with senior leadership, IT, compliance and people teams
- Building a scalable, system-led operation ready for increased volume over the next 12–24 months
