Team Leader ( Behaviour Support

Overview

Key Care & Support are looking for a skilled and values- driven Team Leader for Sammy, a 26 year old man, to enable him to live a meaningful, active and fulfilling life, while leading a staff team to deliver high quality, person-centred support.

Sammy has a great sense of pride in his appearance and a wide range of interests. He responds well to positive relationships, encouragement and consistency. Sammy enjoys staying active, spending time in the community and taking part in social activities such as live music events, discos and karaoke nights.

• Play a key role in both direct support and leadership to develop and guide the team to deliver support that is person-centred, proactive and grounded in positive behaviour support (PBS) principles.
• Ensure support is proactive, respectful and focused on quality of life.
• Coach and support staff to develop their skills and confidence.
• Ensure a consistent and reflective approach.
• Support staff to understand why behaviours occur and respond in ways that reduce stress and promote well-being.
• Work collaboratively with Sammy's family and professionals.
• Support Sammy to develop skills, make choices and have a strong voice in decisions about his life, routines and activities.
• Support Sammy in activities he enjoys, including swimming, karaoke, using swings and rocking chairs, jet washing the car, simple food preparation and baking, walks, visiting Barton Aerodrome, listening to music, visiting the Trafford Centre, visiting museums and galleries and cafés, walks on the beach and watching TV.

The role is 40 hours a week — Monday to Friday.
