Our Graduate Building Services Engineers transform empty buildings into safe, comfortable, and visually appealing spaces. Working across mechanical and electrical disciplines, they ensure buildings are efficient, sustainable, and compliant with health and safety standards.
What You’ll Do- Design systems that make buildings functional and livable.
- Deliver cost‑effective, sustainable solutions.
- Work on UK and international projects across sectors like defence, transport, energy, healthcare, and more.
- HS2 and Royal Navy Britannia College
- Somerset Energy Innovation Centre (Hinkley Point)
- Everton and Anfield Stadium developments
- One Nine Elms – Europe’s tallest residential building
- Major hospitals including Guy’s and St Thomas’
- Advising the UK Government on Net Zero Carbon policy
- Electrical Engineering:
Power, lighting, fire detection, alarms, and security systems. - Mechanical Engineering:
Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and water services.
Candidates with degrees in Electrical or Mechanical engineering should apply to the matching specialism. Those with alternative degrees (e.g., architectural engineering and building services) can choose based on their skills and interests.
As part of your application, we will ask you to select your preferred opportunity based on the sub‑sector and location. Some of our opportunities will require you to be eligible to achieve security clearance; this is shown in the selection choices. Security clearance is dictated by the types of projects we work on and normally requires you to be a UK British national or lived in the UK for five years or more.

Altrincham, Bristol, Glasgow, and Tadley.

All our opportunities require a relevant bachelor’s degree as a minimum requirement; some opportunities also require a master’s degree – reflected in the application form.
To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months’ relevant experience (excluding placements) and have a degree obtained no earlier than 2024 or expected to achieve one of the following disciplines:
- Architectural Engineering
- Building Services Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
