UPMC Altoona is hiring a Full-Time Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to help support their Altoona Hospital Medicine team!
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm. Monday through Sunday, 7 days on followed by 7 days off.
Location: UPMC Altoona
Position Specifics: Serve patients admitted to UPMC Altoona. Daily rounds with hospitalist physician and inpatient census. Admissions, discharges, and subsequent visits daily on patients.
Department Details: 100% inpatient setting in a fast‑paced environment. We have a strong and highly dedicated APP team, including many clinicians who have been with us for more than ten years as well as newer APPs who joined us in 2020 and have grown with the program. Staff/Senior Level: The Staff or Senior Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and a member of the care delivery team. The APP is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The APP has responsibility, authority, and accountability for the provision of care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician.
The APP manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
