Overview
US Digestive Health (USDH), one of the largest GI specialty groups in the nation, is currently seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our private, physician-led practice in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
Compensation
:
Phenomenal compensation package. Partners earn $800,000 and up.
The practice is very well run and incredibly efficient, which creates great work-life balance. The area offers fantastic neighborhoods, a very low cost of living and crime, excellent public/private schools, and ample outdoor activities. The region provides easy access to Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.;
Blue Knob All Seasons Resort is about 20 minutes away.

Other highlights include an accelerated path to partnership, a $2,000 monthly fellowship stipend to ease transition, and a favorable duty schedule enabled by an abundance of APPs and nurses, allowing physicians to be out of the office by 4:00–4:30 p.m.
Time off: 5 weeks as an Associate, 7 weeks as Partner, with an additional week added every 5 years up to a maximum of 12 weeks. Time off is a priority for the group.

Call:
Reasonable at 1:8 following next hire, with very few night calls and consults.
Workload mix:
Approximately 10% hospital, 45% office, 45% ASC.
