DC Fiber Installation Technician

Exciting Travel Opportunity - Entry-Level DC Fiber Installation Technician

Our client is looking for multiple entry-level cable technicians to join a major Meta data center project. This is a career-launching role for anyone interested in telecommunications and data center work.

• 6‑month assignment in Altoona, IA, followed by a long‑term role in Lebanon, IN.
• Free lodging and $50/day per diem while in Iowa – earn and save while gaining hands‑on experience.
• Opportunity to work on one of the largest data center projects in the U.S.

• Pull Cat5/Cat6 and fiber optic cables.
• Install cable trays and pathways.
• Punch‑down and fiber termination.
• Build server racks and follow blueprints.
• Learn structured cabling standards and color codes.
• Initial tasks will likely include installing cable trays and assembling server racks before progressing to fiber work.

• $20‑$23/hr (entry‑level)
• $24‑$27/hr (with 2+ years fiber/data center experience)
• Overtime paid at 1.5×.
• Mon‑Fri, 7 AM‑7 PM (may extend to 10‑12 hrs/day, 6 days/week if needed).

• Willingness to relocate (Altoona, IA or Lebanon, IN).
• Basic cabling or telecom experience (or construction experience).
• Comfortable using hand tools and working at heights.
• Reliable, punctual, and coachable.
• Must pass drug test and background check.

• Military communications experience.
• Data center or fiber optic experience.
