Adventureland Park - Security Screener - Workamper

* Education and Experience:

** College degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline desired;
Equivalent work experience will be considered 1+ year of previous security or related experience highly desired

Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English;
Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
** Requirements:
** Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner

Ability to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions

Ability to apply knowledge of security methods, procedures, interviewing, listening, and note-taking techniques for specific situations Ability to deal fairly, objectively, and courteously with the public without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, or political beliefs Ability to analyze people and/or situations quickly and calmly and take appropriate actions in a quick and effective manner

Ability to operate a variety of electronic equipment, such as cameras, radios, personal computers, or other communication devices

Ability to professionally and calmly deal with stressful and/or tense situations

Ability to collaborate with other team members, external first responders, and emergency personnel during emergency situations

* Physical Requirements:

** Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders

Ability to walk, stand, or run on uphill, downhill, or uneven surfaces. Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away

This role is predominantly based in an outdoor park setting with some exposure to indoor environments
