ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Travel Assignment | Alton, IL (Travel RN)

Travel RN – ICU Registered Nurse in Alton, IL | 13-week MICU assignment. Seeking experienced critical care RNs with EPIC charting, ACLS, and BLS.

• Location: Alton, IL 62002 — Illinois nursing jobs / travel nursing jobs in Illinois
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026)
• Setting: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), 12-bed critical care unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am) — ICU RN night shift
• Hours: 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday required
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site (Travel RN / ICU Registered Nurse)
• Charting System: EPIC (EPIC experience preferred)
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs (not provided)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,020 - $2,130 per week

• Active RN license in Illinois (or proof of application in process) — Illinois RN required for ICUs
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care RN experience required
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms preferred (telemetry/ICU rhythm interpretation)
• Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus)
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday (ICU shift flexibility)

• Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to medically complex patients in a 12-bed MICU
• Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:2-3, with occasional IMU assignments
• Monitor and titrate common ICU drips, including paralytics, sedatives, Cardizem, amiodarone, and vasoactive agents
• Provide care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, sepsis, MI, DKA, COVID-19, and ventilated patients
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members including hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists
• Participate in a comprehensive orientation program (first 3 days) to support travel RN integration
• Adhere to hospital policies and maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC
