Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist II - Healthcare & Research. A client of Innova Solutions is hiring for a Phlebotomist II position in Alton, IL. Duration: 3 months. Shift: 7am-4pm Monday-Friday and 4th Saturday 7am-1pm.

• The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
• Maintains direct contact with patients, explains procedures, and ensures a safe, accurate blood collection in a skilful, trusting manner.
• Verify patient demographic information and initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm tubes are labelled correctly and match the patient.
• Maintain required records and documentation.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Experience:
  
  1-3 years phlebotomy experience; 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred; customer service in retail/service environment highly preferred; keyboard/data entry experience.

Pay Range: $21-$25.00 per hour.
