Role PurposeEnsures prompt and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications per prescription orders, instructs, coordinates, and monitors staff activities to meet patient and customer needs in compliance with pharmacy operation rules and regulations.
Responsibilities- Manages individuals: hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans; ensures productivity aligns with department goals.
- Assists with pharmacy operations and integration with other departments.
- Provides pharmaceutical care appropriate to patient needs and age.
- Interprets patient data to identify, prevent, and resolve drug therapy problems; ensures safe and effective drug therapy.
- Coordinates and reviews work of Pharmacists, Technicians and Students.
- Assists in development and enforcement of pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with hospital policies and governmental regulations.
- May participate in development of staffing, revenue and expense budgets; responds to business changes affecting budget goals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
- Less than 2 years in pharmacy.
- No experience required.
- Medication Therapy Services in MO.
- Registered Pharmacist (RPh).
- Master's Degree.
- 2–5 years experience.
