Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL has a part-time Lab Associate I position. Collects inpatient labs, processing, and answering phones. As well as ensuring phlebotomy supplies are stocked and functional, and the phlebotomy processing areas and phlebotomy carts are stocked adequately.

Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.

• Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
