The SIU School of Dental Medicine is accepting resume packages for part-time, term, non-tenure track faculty positions openings for the  academic year. This listing does not represent an actual vacancy; rather open recruitment allows interested persons to submit materials for future vacancies within the School of Dental Medicine. These non-tenure track faculty positions may be in the following departments:
Biomedical & Craniofacial Sciences, Sections of DAU/Practice Management, Behavioral Science, Orthodontics and Diagnostic Sciences;
Prosthodontics & Endodontics, Sections of Endodontics, Restorative Dentistry and Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics;
Surgical Sciences & Community Care, Sections of Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontology, Pediatric Dentistry and Community Dentistry; and Clinical Practice & Operative Dentistry, Sections of Operative Dentistry and Adult Practice Management.

Providing instruction and clinical supervision for pre-doctoral and/or post-doctoral SDM students.

  • Clinical Assistant Professor: $75,000–$90,000
  • Clinical Associate Professor: $85,000–$100,000
  • Clinical Professor: $95,000–$110,000
• Part-Time Dental Faculty (non-specialist)
  • Clinical Assistant Professor: $95,000–$110,000
  • Clinical Associate Professor: $105,000–$120,000
  • Clinical Professor: $115,000–$130,000
• Part-Time Dental Faculty (specialist)
  • Clinical Assistant Professor: $105,000–$130,000
  • Clinical Associate Professor: $115,000–$140,000
  • Clinical Professor: $125,000–$150,000
• Clinical Instructor (Hygiene): $85,000

D.D.S or D.M.D. degree is required. A teaching or permanent license to practice dentistry in the state of Illinois is required. Prior dental teaching experience and/or advanced training desirable. Clinical Instructor (Hygiene): B.S. degree and an Illinois dental hygienist license are required.
