I'm working exclusively with a well‑established and growing engineering services business that is now looking to appoint a Sales Engineer to support continued expansion across process and industrial markets.

As Sales Engineer, you will take ownership of a defined region, selling and promoting a comprehensive portfolio of process instrumentation, calibration, and inspection solutions.
You'll be responsible for developing existing accounts, winning new business, and supporting larger project opportunities - working closely with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on‑site visits with existing and prospective customers
- Build and grow long‑term customer relationships within process industries
- Maximise sales across products and services within the region
- Identify and develop new sales channels and opportunities
- Take a lead role in major customer agreements and larger project bids
- Manage sales pipelines, forecasting, and opportunity tracking
Support tenders and bids for complex, high‑value projects - Maintain accurate CRM records of all customer interactions
- Provide market and competitor insight to support marketing strategy
- Work collaboratively with internal sales and marketing teams
- Engineering background with exposure to electrical engineering
- Experience selling into process industries, automation, or control instrumentation
- Understanding of process instrumentation and calibration within production environments
- Confident working with engineers, buyers, and senior stakeholders
- Strong consultative and solution‑based sales approach
- Full UK driving licence (field‑based role)
- Knowledge of Endress+Hauser, Eurotherm, or similar automation products
- Experience selling calibration or inspection services, including DSEAR
- NVQ Level 3 (Electrical Installations) or equivalent
