Buyer - Aerospace and Defence

£35,000 to £45,000 basic salary + bonus + benefits

Permanent/Full time - on site

• Manage the purchasing of materials and services, including production parts and consumables.
• Negotiate pricing and lead times while maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing suppliers.
• Raise, manage, and monitor Purchase Orders with approved vendors, ensuring cost-effective buying in terms of price, service, and quality.
• Source and onboard new suppliers to support business needs and growth.
• Produce and deliver reports for management as required.
• Provide purchasing support to the internal sales team

• Proven experience in buying, procurement, or product management, with effective supply chain and purchasing capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, supported by entrepreneurial negotiation ability.
• High accuracy, attention to detail and an analytical mindset, alongside strong numeracy and IT skills.
• A working understanding of AS9120 is required.
• Ability to learn quickly with a proactive, flexible approach to delivering results.
• A solid understanding of electrical and mechanical parts procurement is highly advantageous.
