Role DescriptionThis full-time, on-site position is based in Altadena, CA. The Engineering Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various engineering projects. The role includes analyzing project scopes, reviewing drawings and specifications, calculating materials and labor costs, collaborating with project managers and engineers, and ensuring that estimates align with the district’s operational and budgetary goals.
Qualifications- Strong skills in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and budget preparation
- Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings, project specifications, and construction documents
- Understanding of construction methodologies, techniques, and materials
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for developing precise and efficient project estimates
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities for working with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders
- Familiarity with estimating software and relevant project management tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Knowledge of water supply systems or infrastructure projects is a plus
