- Support Environmental Health & Safety for the facility, following all current policies and procedures and improving the facility’s performance.
- Provide all departments with needed materials in a timely manner.
- Move, locate and stage all finished goods, raw materials, work in process and supplies to the warehouse or manufacturing departments in an orderly fashion that prevents damage or contamination.
- Identify material with handling unit and skid tags and verify tags match material.
- Move materials physically as well as electronically.
- Document all material and supply transactions accurately, manually and electronically.
- Load or unload trailers/containers as needed.
- Manage waste rolls and scrap, move waste to compactors or recycling staging areas, gather and bale loose junk or startup rolls, load the scrap trailer and record weights.
- Perform cycle counts as needed.
- Empty pallets from presses, gather them and stack outside neatly.
- Run material staging reports in applications; material needs to be scanned to the proper location.
- Gather and bale loose scrap from presses and slitters.
- Provide assistance outside the immediate area of responsibility when needed.
- Assist in physical inventories.
