RequiredKnowledge of the Dewey decimal system, alphabetization and change making is required. A proficiency quiz is administered upon verification of work‑study funding; only those who achieve a 100% score are eligible for an interview. Work‑study eligibility is required.
Staffing ReasonWork Study
Primary ResponsibilitiesDuties include a variety of customer service tasks such as assisting library patrons (all ages) with informational and computer help, shelving materials, answering the telephone, maintaining stacks, handling cash, checking in and out library materials, daily and weekly cleaning duties, and building security.
Schedule:
M‑Th 8‑9 pm, F 8‑5 pm, Sunday 12‑9 pm; follows library dress code and requires lifting of up to 20 lbs.
