Required QualificationsA Bachelor of Arts in English or a related field is required.
Primary ResponsibilitiesThe graduate assistantship in English allows students to work in tutoring, teaching, editing, and/or research roles depending on programmatic needs. Students may receive training and give presentations at conferences related to these roles. They can work as tutors in SRSU’s Online Writing Center, serve as editors for SRSU’s art and literature journal, The Sage, and teach freshman writing courses. Graduate assistants may teach under the supervision of a faculty mentor after accumulating 18 SCHs in English.
They are responsible for personal safety and the safety of others, practicing safe work habits at all times.
