This position is an off‑campus work‑study role. The student will report directly to a supervisor at the Alpine ISD Child Development Center with support from the Office of Civic Engagement & Student Assistance.

Requirements- Must be Federal Work Study eligible.
- Must have transportation.
- Must meet background check requirements.
- Experience working with children.
- 2 years experience in a child‑care setting.
Work Study
Primary Responsibilities- Understand children’s social, emotional, and physical development.
- Ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are activity‑engaged and encouraged to succeed.
- Supervise children efficiently and ensure their safety and well‑being.
- Carry out routines promptly, hygienically, and consistently while operating the classroom.
- Comply with all state listening regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings and training.
- Display excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills with children and adults.
- Maintain frequent communication with parents.
- Resolve conflict, listen, and respond appropriately to concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
- Maintain a professional and public appearance.
- Work well and effectively with others.
- Be effective in technology.
- Display strong oral and written communication skills. This position is security sensitive.
