Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipper to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing and dispatching orders, ensuring timely shipment, and maintaining organized warehouse operations. This role requires familiarity with warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving procedures, and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Previous warehouse experience, especially in e-commerce or distribution environments, is preferred.

The Shipper plays a vital role in supporting order fulfillment processes and ensuring customer satisfaction through precise and prompt shipping activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move inventory safely within the warehouse
• Manage stock levels through proper stocking, order picking, and inventory control using MRP and AS400 systems
• Ensure all outgoing shipments meet quality standards and shipping deadlines
• Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate the movement of goods for distribution or e-commerce fulfillment
• Follow safety protocols when operating equipment like forklifts and reach trucks

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or distribution is highly desirable
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, MRP systems, and RF scanners
• Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely (certification preferred)
• Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying shipments
• Experience with packaging materials and order fulfillment processes in an e-commerce setting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking, packing, and documentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) regularly during shift
