Senior C++ and Perl Developer - Onsite

The Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software systems using C/C++, Perl, Sybase, and Oracle. This senior role requires deep technical expertise, leadership in project execution, and the ability to mentor junior developers. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the full SDLC, system architecture, and performance optimization.

• Develop scalable, reliable software solutions in C/C++ and support system-level programming

• Build and maintain Perl scripts for automation, data processing, and system integration

• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot Sybase and Oracle database schemas, queries, and stored procedures

• Perform advanced SQL tuning and resolve complex production issues

• Lead feature design, enhancements, and code reviews while ensuring coding best practices

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical documentation

• Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 10+ years of software development experience with strong C/C++ expertise

• Extensive Perl scripting experience

• Deep hands-on experience with Sybase and Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL, design, tuning)

• Proven experience with multi-threaded, high-performance applications

• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OOP

• Experience with version control (Git, SVN) and CI/CD

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Experience in financial services or high-volume transaction systems

• Knowledge of Unix/Linux and shell scripting

• Familiarity with additional relevant programming languages or technologies
