Finance Primerica Python Developer

Job Overview

Our client, a leading financial services company, is hiring a Finance Primerica Python Developer on a long‑term contract basis. The role is based in Alpharetta, GA and requires a local candidate who can work onsite three days a week and remotely two days a week.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Python with a strong emphasis on SQL Alchemy ORM.
• Design and implement infrastructure automation modules using Terraform to support an Infrastructure as Code initiative.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure Automation team to manage two internal software projects: a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) tool and a general automation tool.
• Engage in all stages of the software development life cycle, including code review, conflict resolution, and deployment using Docker containers.

• 5‑7 years of backend Python development experience.
• Proficient in SQL Alchemy, Flask, and Paramiko for secure connectivity.
• Experience with Git workflows, Linux command line, and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of Terraform and containerization (Docker) is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication, collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently.

The developer will join an ad hoc Agile environment with morning check‑ins and standard Git‑based workflows. Developers work independently and merge code via Git, resolving conflicts and handling repository workflows.
