Key Regional Account Manager - Coatings (South / Southwest)

Why are we proud of what we do at allnex? We create coatings, products which help protect the world for all nex>t generations – and that’s exactly what you can do joining us!

Imagine how fast your smartphone would become scratched-up, ugly and unusable without a coating. Or an e-bike, the cabin of a train, a beautiful wooden floor, and countless other things in life.

Making objects and their surfaces more attractive and longer‑lasting means making them more sustainable, and that’s a huge part of what working at allnex is about. No matter which role you step into, you’ll become part of a global team of passionate people who care deeply about the chemistry, quality, and global impact of coatings.

You’ll also join a highly multicultural and diverse team of more than 4,000 employees in four regions who – as part of one of the world’s leading coating resins companies – serve customers in over 100 countries across the globe.

Position Overview

Are you passionate about building relationships, uncovering opportunities, competing, and driving growth in a dynamic industry? allnex is seeking a Key Regional Account Manager to manage and grow business across a defined territory by developing customer relationships, executing sales strategies, partnering with distributors, and supporting both technical and commercial needs.

As a Key Regional Account Manager, you will be the face of our organization in the field—engaging with customers, coordinating with distribution partners, and collaborating internally to deliver results. If you thrive in a role that blends autonomy, strategic thinking, and hands‑on account development, we invite you to apply and grow with us.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all commercial activities within the assigned region, including direct accounts and distributor‑managed customers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with purchasing, operations, R&D, and executive contacts at customer sites to foster trust and collaboration.
  • Identify growth opportunities for existing products and drive new product introductions, working closely with Marketing and Technical Service teams.
  • Lead pricing discussions, contract renewals, and commercial negotiations in line with business unit strategies, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Track and manage a pipeline of active projects and opportunities, maintaining visibility through CRM tools and regularly reporting on sales performance, forecasts, and regional activity using business analytics tools.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally, communicating competitive intelligence, unmet needs, and market trends to influence business decisions.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Technical, and Business Management, and coordinate with distribution partners to ensure coverage, alignment, and performance in the territory.
  • Deliver value and resolve issues proactively, leveraging internal resources and external partnerships to meet customer expectations and drive regional success.
Required Skills And Experience
  • 5‑15 years of experience in chemical sales, coatings, or related industry roles.
  • Familiarity with distribution models and managing multi‑tier customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using CRM, ERP systems, and business reporting tools (Power BI, Excel).
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% within the assigned territory.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business preferred).
