• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.

• Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommends items for sale and trade‑up/companions.
• Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, collects cash, distributes change, processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Assists customers to OTC aisle when possible.
• Keeps counters and shelves clean, merchandised, takes inventory, and maintains records.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including pharmacy system use, filling prescriptions, verifying medicine, checking interactions.
• Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to Company policies including the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Handles telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention.
• Processes manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
• Assists with inventory management activities for the Pharmacy Department.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise.
• Assists with separation and placement of food items per policy.
• Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provides customer service in the photo area (digital passport, poster print, creative machine).
• Assumes web pickup responsibilities (monitors orders, picks items, delivers to customers).
• Assists with exterior and interior maintenance for store appearance.
• Complies with all company policies and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state required certification/registration.
• Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate and acquires continuing education credits, maintaining knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for prescription accuracy.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
