Position Summary
The QC Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role is crucial in maintaining our company's reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities- Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests using manual and automated tools.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and logs.
- Communicate and collaborate with production staff to correct defects and implement improvements.
- Monitor and maintain calibration of testing and measuring equipment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes, procedures, and standards.
- Identify and report quality issues, non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in internal audits and support external audits as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to production teams regarding quality standards and procedures.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- High school diploma or GED required, associate’s degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum [1] years of experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards, manufacturing processes, and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis (RCA) methods.
- Certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to [50] pounds as needed.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
