Position SummaryThis Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing equipment reviews (preventive maintenance), machine adjustments, machine configurations and minor maintenance of the packaging equipment used in the packaging of printed products. The Technician must ensure that all assigned packaging lines have the capability of performing at maximum capacity and will also perform all duties associated with a make ready or game change over on assigned production lines, including movement and loading of rolls, machinery set up and adjustment.
Pay/Schedule$17.50 per hour with Quarterly Bonus
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday night
7:30 PM-7:30 AM
Job Functions- Setup all Packaging Line equipment for the game.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Verify that equipment are running at maximum capacity.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine root cause for non-peak performance.
- Communicate maintenance issues to proper maintenance personnel and request assistance when needed to minimize downtime.
- Assist Material Handler to stage rolls if requirement.
- Assist Machine Operators as needed to maximize output.
- Follow 5S and LEAN concept as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Proven mechanical ability on packaging equipment.
- Ability to work independently and work well with others.
- Experience working with and setting-up packaging equipment in a production environment.
- Able to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
- Language Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public

Qualifications- Education:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalency. - Years of Related
Experience:
1 to 2 years.
