Paralegal

Description

Our team is seeking a proactive In-House Paralegal to play a vital role in managing legal claims, driving collections, and ensuring efficient file progression-all while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Conduct in-depth legal research to support claim strategy and litigation as needed.

+ Pull and review invoices, organizing and compiling all documentation required for claims processing.

+ Engage with insurance companies, adjusters, and third-party representatives to secure prompt payment.

+ Monitor payment status, perform diligent follow-ups, and escalate issues to the appropriate parties.

+ When necessary, prepare supporting documents and work alongside counsel to initiate lawsuits or legal actions.

+ Communicate professionally with claimants and other business units to resolve outstanding matters and maintain case momentum.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Prior experience as a litigation paralegal with a law firm, or corporate legal department.

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to communicate confidently with third parties, payment adjusters, and other stakeholders.

+ Proficiency with legal documentation, claims processing, and invoice management.

+ Comfortable taking initiative and driving matters to resolution, up to and including the litigation stage when warranted.
