Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

We are looking for an QA Automation who is passionate about building robust automation frameworks and enabling high-quality releases through modern test engineering practices
. The ideal candidate is strong in Java
, has hands‑on experience with Selenium for UI automation, and practical expertise in Playwright for fast, reliable end‑to‑end testing. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and Dev Ops to embed quality into every stage of the SDLC.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Alpharetta is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Java
  .
• Develop automated tests for:
• API testing (REST services; functional & contract testing)
• Integration and E2E workflows
• Improve test reliability via:
• smarter waits/synchronization
• stable locators strategy
• reducing flaky tests
• parallel execution and test optimization
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops).
• Analyze failures, troubleshoot root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams on fixes.
• Maintain test reports and dashboards (e.g., Allure/Extent, CI reports) to track quality metrics.
• Contribute to test strategy, test data management, and quality best practices.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and quality gating.

• Strong programming experience in Java (Core Java, OOP, Collections, exceptions, design principles).
• Strong hands‑on experience with Selenium Web Driver (TestNG/JUnit, Page Object Model, robust locator strategies).
• Experience with test framework development (custom utilities, reusable components, reporting, retry, parallelism).
• Solid understanding of automation best practices (clean code, maintainability, modular design).
• Experience with Git and modern branching strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated test execution pipelines.
• Understanding of SDLC/STLC
  , Agile/Scrum practices.

Preferred, but not required:

• API automation using Rest Assured / Postman / Karate.
• Working knowledge of Docker
  , containerized test execution.
• Experience with BDD (Cucumber) and writing executable specs.
• Performance testing exposure (JMeter/Gatling) is a plus.
• Familiarity with test observability (logs, traces, screenshots, artifacts, flaky test analytics).
