Technology Strategy, Global Infrastructure & App Security (TSGI) is looking for an innovative Analyst with a passion for Cybersecurity and Technology. This role will support Network, Infrastructure & Cloud Security Governance, specifically for our Verizon Global Service (VGS) Enterprise Network.
This role will partner and work closely with key cross-functional stakeholders, like Verizon Cybersecurity (VCS), Global Network & Technology (GNT) Network Security, and our VGS Enterprise Network teams, in order to protect our network and align on proactive security measures to effectively mitigate risks, enable safe digital transformation, and defend against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
What you'll be doing...Operational Management:Providing day-to-day operational support, engaging both internal and external stakeholders, sometimes utilizing a dotted-line leadership approach.
Metrics and Reporting: Capturing stakeholder feedback on design reviews and update security-based metrics for Network, Infrastructure, and Cloud Security Governance reporting dashboards, scorecards, and maturity models. This includes creating and maintaining joint action plans to ensure timely remediation or resolution of tasks.
Continuous Improvement
:
Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and track gaps and process improvements, thereby enhancing security protections and improving overall cybersecurity maturity.Transformation Support:Supporting the transformation efforts related to Security by Design and Zero Trust principles within Network, Infrastructure, and Cloud Governance models.
Policy and Control Effectiveness
:
Ensuring the effectiveness and coverage of VGS Network, Infrastructure, and Cloud governance Security Policies and Controls, prioritizing efforts based on risk level.Training and Awareness
:
Supporting awareness, training, and compliance programs focused on Network Cybersecurity practices, leveraging the Mavens program-a team of security professionals who facilitate the adoption of Security by Design.Artifact Management and Efficiency
:
Ensuring all project artifacts and communications are easily accessible and well-maintained. Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing project management tools and methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance team efficiency.Cyber Security Coordination
:
Coordinating necessary activities with Verizon Cyber Security teams, including (but not limited to) Active Defense and Incident Response, Penetration Testing, Red Team and Threat Hunt campaigns, and Tabletop Exercises when required.Process Review and Refinement
:
Reviewing the outcomes of root cause analysis, compliance audits, and lessons learned to ensure that repeatable and sustainable processes are established, followed, or adjusted as necessary.Audit

Assisting with internal audit reviews by producing and presenting artifacts and executive summaries to support the overall team's mission.Reporting: Helping design and produce executive-level operational read-outs, metrics, and project statuses that accurately reflect the effectiveness of the team's mission.
Strategy Execution and Communication: Executing short-term strategic goals and ensuring proper updates are socialized to appropriate stakeholders. This requires cross-functional collaboration and relationship building to achieve broader organizational strategic goals.

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Experience in Information Security, Technology or Technical Risk Analysis.
Experience with assessing existing controls, policies, procedures, and technologies to understand the organization's current security posture.
Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity, network defense, and investigative frameworks (such as NIST CSF, ISO 27000 series, MITRE ATT&CK, Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain, etc.) into network defense processes.
High-level understanding of Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure, OCI) and Operating Systems (Windows, Unix/Linux, and OSX).
