Data Analyst

Overview

Location / Remote: Hybrid in Alpharetta, GA 30005 (3 days per week onsite)

Employment Type: 6-month contract (W-2)

Compensation: up to $49/hour (depending on experience)

This position is focused on hands-on data transformation and analysis as part of a large-scale migration initiative. The successful candidate will work independently to convert legacy data into standardized formats and perform detailed analysis using Google Big Query and JSON. The role requires strong technical execution and the ability to operate efficiently under tight deadlines.

• Extract data from legacy systems and convert client input files (standard and non-standard formats) into standardized structures.
• Load transformed data into Google Big Query and execute complex SQL queries.
• Perform detailed data analysis and root cause investigations.
• Validate and resolve data quality issues.
• Apply internal business rules to interpret findings and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate analysis results and progress.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Big Query, including writing complex queries and analyzing structured and semi-structured data.
• At least 1 year of experience working with JSON (data extraction, transformation, and manipulation).
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize queries.

• Experience with Python for data processing or automation.
• Familiarity with Looker or similar BI tools.
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux command line.
• Experience working with file ingestion processes.
