Site Reliability Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a Contract with a client in Alpharetta, GA
. This role focuses on building and maintaining reliable, scalable infrastructure and deployment environments on Google Cloud Platform.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $51/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Build and configure non‑prod and production environments on GCP using Terraform and Kubernetes, including web/app server and database setup.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins while automating infrastructure provisioning through code and scripting.
• Collaborate with Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Oracle teams to support data migrations and environment integration.
• Work alongside infrastructure teams to configure deployments, including storage, logging, firewall rules, and network requirements.
• Monitor system performance and health using tools such as Datadog, App Dynamics, and Application Insights.
• Analyze and improve existing build and deployment processes to support upgraded applications and environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Dev Ops, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Strong proficiency with GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes, with the ability to build and manage production‑grade cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation, including Jenkins, scripting, and infrastructure‑as‑code for scalable deployments.
