Position
Purpose:
Hancock Functional Analysts are tasked with facilitating requirements development sessions to gain an understanding of our current state processes and technology in the Claims Management space, and supporting the implementation work that follows. The FA will elicit current state pain points and uncover gaps in our best practices. The FA will initiate and lead design discussions with the technical team and be responsible for documenting solution options.
When appropriate, they will also produce more detailed supporting materials such as business process diagrams, wireframes and other context diagrams.
As a functional Analyst, the FA should efficiently synthesize both technical and business information and present implementation needs and options confidently. The FA is able to present complex information equally well to an executive audience or a developer community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- The FA will work with Hancock’s Business teams to elicit and analyze their requirements, develop designs, and implement clear development & functional requirements for Epics and User Stories in an AGILE Scrum Framework.
- Building a clear requirements development strategy for each product feature/capability.
- Leading discovery workshops, which includes the facilitation of large audiences, solution presentations, and prototype demonstrations.
- Organizing and driving process reengineering sessions
- Identifying and creating an inventory customer process pain points and gaps in best practices.
- Documenting requirements in User Story format and maintaining documentation for overall functionality.
- Performing rapid analysis and decomposition of complex business information into technical process components.
- Performing business process modelling, user experience modeling and basic technical architecture diagramming.
- Assisting with maintaining product backlogs and product prioritization.
- Interpreting technical and business strategy roadmaps and applying a detailed technical solution.
- Building and demonstrating workflows and prototypes.
- Presenting to C Suite level audiences as well as technical teams.
- Participating in and guiding customers through user acceptance test planning and execution
- Leveraging multiple implementation team types (User experience, Change Management, Global Development Centers, Developer Communities)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred
- 4+ years of experience as a CRM Business Analyst or Product Owner for mid-to-large sized organization(s)
- Experience working in a scrum setting is required.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Familiarity with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load (ETL) tools
- Familiarity with application development with JavaScript, XML, HTTP, Java, C++, ASP, SQL
- Experience working in Atlassian Suite- JIRA, Confluence is a plus.
- Familiarity with Software Quality Assurance tools and processes is a plus.
- Mondays thru Fridays, 9:00am to 6:00pm EST/EDT (approximate)
- Schedule may change according to business operational needs to include weekend hours.
- 100% Remote but must be able to work EST/EDT hours.
