The ITOM Developer will be responsible for implementing and enhancing IT Operations Management (ITOM) capabilities within a large enterprise environment.
This role focuses on Infrastructure and Cloud Discovery, CMDB optimization, CSDM alignment, and the use of Service Now’s advanced discovery and service graph connectors.
The position involves building scalable discovery solutions, supporting configuration data integrity, and enabling operational insights through accurate and automated data ingestion.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and enhance ITOM capabilities including Cloud and Infrastructure Discovery.
- Configure and maintain Service Graph Connectors, Horizontal Discovery, APIs, and Agent Client Collector (ACC).
- Ensure CMDB accuracy and alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Troubleshoot discovery issues and optimize patterns for servers, containers, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud resources.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support ITOM projects and CMDB governance activities.
- Develop and maintain discovery schedules, credentials, probes, sensor configurations, and discovery patterns.
- Support tag governance processes within ITOM and configure automation where possible.
- Contribute to ITOM roadmap planning and best practices for enterprise configuration management.
- Collaborate with ITSM, Infrastructure, and App Development teams where integrations are required.
- Strong experience with ITOM in large enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure and Cloud Discovery (Service Graph Connectors, ACC, APIs, Horizontal Discovery).
- Expertise in CMDB architecture, configuration, reconciliation, and CSDM implementation.
- Experience performing Cloud Discovery across AWS, Azure, or other major cloud platforms.
- Experience discovering containers and Kubernetes environments.
- Knowledge of tag governance and resource tagging models within ITOM (major plus).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Experience in Infrastructure or Systems Management.
- Familiarity with other Service Now modules such as ITSM or custom app development.
- Experience working with discovery automation, credential management, or cloud governance frameworks.
